FAQ
Does the product package contain a battery? Can the battery be charged directly via CamFi 3?
The battery is not included in the package of CamFi 3. You can buy the battery kit from our website. CamFi 3 supports an LP-E6 battery, users of Canon 5d 3, EOS R5, R6 can use the battery kit of the camera. CamFi 3 does not support charging the battery directly. Please use the charger in the battery kit to charge the battery.
I've bought Pro, can I upgrade to Pro Plus?
Yes. It only needs $40 to upgrade. It will be available on Jan 18, 2019. Please visit http://cam-fi.com/en/support/pro-upgrade.html to order the upgrade license.
When to use the embedded SD card reader?
We recommend using the embedded SD card when using Sony or Fuji cameras to ensure data security when shooting. It would be better to use an SD card reader when you're using an LTE network to remote transfer the photos.
What is the transmission distance? Can it support long-distance wireless transmission?
As a hotspot AP, the transmission distance is about 50 meters. Beyond this distance, we recommend bridging to a wireless router. If the network of the wireless router can cover, the data can be transmitted easily. CamFi 3 also supports a 4G USB network dongle, which can be used for remote transmission via FTP wherever there is a mobile network.
